Juliana Bustillo
BIO: Born in Harlingen, Texas and raised in the Boyle Heights section of Los Angeles from the age of two, Juliana Bustillo (she/her/hers) began her undergraduate studies at East Los Angeles College then transferred
to California State University, Long Beach where she earned a B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing. Juliana now resides in Richmond, Virginia where she is an MFA
candidate ‘22 at Virginia Commonwealth University. Utilizing process and imagery, imaginary landscapes become a reality through the act of painting. It is here in this space, in which Juliana highlights the possibility of a not too distant future.
