The Wall on 1621 Hull Street came to Us in many ways. At a time where Eye was unsure what an image could do for a community beyond aesthetics, the Muse and subject came to Me thru prayer. Opening up to members of the community and starting conversations– healing, and the theme of BlackwellNESS flooded Our conversations. Reaching back, We brought the imagery of Yemaya, an Orisha from the shores of Africa, to the visage of Cole Hicks, a breathing legend in the Hip Hop community of Richmond.
